How to Create a Masculine Card

For many, creating a masculine card can be challenging. You may feel you don’t have an appropriate stamp or a corresponding sentiment, but with a little creativity, it’s always possible to design the perfect card! Today I’ll be sharing a few ideas with you for creating the perfect masculine card.

What I love about craft stamps are their versatility and the way you can use a single stamp so many different ways. Transportation stamps are always my go-to for masculine cards because it’s easy to pair them with a variety of different sentiments. Simply Stamps creates custom sentiment stamps, so you’ll never be at a loss for words! You can design¬†your own custom sentiment stamp here.

I always start my projects by gathering all of the supplies I think would fit well with my vision. I decided to use the Road Trip stamp from the Tim Holtz collection and a crackle stencil.

To create the background, I used acrylic paint, a vintage photo and distressed ink.

Next, I used a distress crayon to color up some texture paint and applied this mixture to the crackle stencil.

I gave the texture paste some time to dry, then adhered pieces of an old map to the background. I also included a Route 66 sign because I thought it added something unique to the theme of this card.

To finish my card, I added my custom “A Journey of a Thousand Miles Must Begin with a Single Step” sentiment stamp. I loved how well this sentiment worked with the Road Trip stamp. Here’s how the card turned out:¬†
