How to Make a Gift Box by Vicki

Hi everyone and welcome to Simply Stamps University!

If you love to make cards like I do, or want to create a special keepsake box,  this tutorial will be perfect for you! I created this gift box to give a set of cards I made for a friend.

This project is so easy, all you need is a few craft stamps, craft inks, designer paper, card stock, washi tape and an old cigar box. So follow along and I’ll show you how I created this cute box, step-by-step!

To begin this project, I used my maple leaf, autumn oak leaf craft stamps and a few different colored craft inks from Simply Stamps. I made a variety of different impressions on white card stock.

Next, I used red washi tape to adhere the card stock to the top of the cigar box, then did the same with a fun, designer paper to cover the remainder of the box.

Before I gave the gift box of cards, I used my “Hand Created by Vicki Dutcher” stamp on the back of each card.

I was so happy with how well all of my Simply Stamps products worked for this project! I kept it pretty easy and simple, but you can definitely add more embellishments and layers to your box if you want to jazz it up a little more. Whether you use it to give gifts or use it as a keepsake box is entirely up to you!

I hope I’ve inspired you to get creative! Thanks for stopping by today and I’ll see you next time!
