How to Use One Stamp Four Ways Part 2 by Crystal

Hi and welcome to Simply Stamps University!

I’m so excited to share with you Part 2 of ‘How to Use One Stamp Four Ways’ today! As I mentioned in Part 1, the purpose of this series is to show you how much creativity can be inspired by one single stamp. You can see the first project in this series here.

True to the series’ name, I used the same craft stamp as I featured in last week’s tutorial, the ‘Happy Thanksgiving Daisies craft stamp’.

I used an embossing technique in the first project of this series, but this time I chose to keep it really simple! Using four different ink colors, I created a floral background for the card with the daises craft stamp.

Here’s what I did:

To begin, I cut a piece of black card stock to use as the base of the card. Next, I trimmed a white piece of card stock exactly 1 cm smaller than the black piece.

I then began creating the background of the card with the daises stamp. I chose to use different shades of pink, yellow and orange, but you can choose whatever colors you’d like! Be sure to allow some time different each color so the impressions don’t smear.

Next, I cut a small rectangle out of a different piece of black card stock. I heat embossed the ‘Thanks’ sentiment onto the rectangle in white.

I adhered the ‘Thanks’ to the floral card stock, then adhered the floral piece to the black card stock.
To see the full process for this card, watch the video below.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! We’ll see you next time!
