Instead of sending a Snap, writing on someone’s wall, or sending a text, try picking up a pen and paper. Spend 15 minutes and write to someone you love, be it your best friend, someone you haven’t talked to in years, your husband, your wife, or even a co-worker you appreciate. There’s something incredibly personal about receiving a letter in the mail because it shows thought and effort. In a sea of catalogs, bills, and junk, a social card or letter is also a welcomed break.

Simply Stamps is a small business based on a legacy that promotes respect, efficiency and enjoying our work. We’re passionate about stamps, but we’re also passionate about life. We know it’s fast-paced, busy and often hard, but we give emphasis to the importance of appreciating the little things. The research shows that one in five American children have never received a handwritten letter. Studies also show that handwriting is directly linked to literacy and educational development. How to participate and enter.

January 16 - February 14, 2017

  1. Write and send a letter via snail mail to someone you love. Whether it be your mother, father, grandparent, significant other, etc. is up to you. There is no limit to the number of letters you write.
  2. Before sending, take a photo of your letter, the front of the greeting card, the envelope, or any portion of your letter. Post it to your personal Instagram account (be careful not to include any personal addresses in your photo).
  3. Use hashtag #simplysendletters in your post.

Prizes:

  1. First place: $200 to spend on custom gifts, personalized address stamps or stationery on SimplyStamps.com
  2. Second place: Personalized return address stamp of their choice
  3. Third place: Stationery set of their choice

Winners will be chosen at random using random.org. Submissions must be entered by February 14th. Winner will be announced February 15th. Must be 18 years old or older to enter. Must be a US Citizen.

Simply Stamps will make a maximum donation of $500 to Reach Out and Read.
