Two candy canes cross near the bottom, their hooks curling away from each other at the top. Each cane is wrapped in angled stripe bands filled with short hatch lines, so the stripes still read as stripes in a single ink color.
Cookie season is where this one earns its keep. Press it on plain paper treat bags, or on a folded cardstock topper stapled over a cellophane bag, then fill them for neighbors, coworkers or a classroom exchange. It also brightens the corner of a Christmas card or a gift tag.
Want red stripes? Stamp in black first, let the ink dry completely, then color every other band with a red marker. The hatch lines keep the coloring looking hand-shaded rather than flat.
