- Re-Inking Process: To re-ink your Trodat Printy ink pad, follow these steps:
- Flip your stamp over and lock it by pressing down on the top slightly and pushing the lock buttons on the side.
- Remove the ink pad by grabbing the side tabs and gently pulling it out.
- Apply 3 to 4 drops of water-based ink evenly across the pad.
- Let the ink soak into the pad for a few minutes until no ink pools remain.
- Re-insert the ink pad into the stamp body and depress to unlock.
- Replacing the Ink Pad: If you prefer to replace the ink pad, follow these steps:
- Flip your stamp over and lock it by pressing down on the top slightly and pushing the lock buttons on the side.
- Push the button on the front of the stamp to eject the ink pad.
- Remove the old pad and insert the new pad with the inked side facing down.

Simply Stamps is an excellent company, highly recommended to get the best customer service available. We had a problem with one of our stamps and they sent a corrected one - fast. I rate the actual stamp a 4 star rather than 5 because the plastic protector is difficult to remove, and the locking mechanism (to keep the stamp sheathed) seems flimsy. We'll see how it goes!
