Rows of narrow slits run from both edges of this oval leaf toward its center vein, with finer vein lines filling the solid sections in between. The overall effect is detailed but airy, more botanical sketch than cartoon. A short stem extends below the leaf, and the slits vary in length, which keeps the pattern from looking mechanical.
