Irregular, jagged lobes run along both sides of this long leaf, which leans to one side as if caught in a breeze. A strong midrib and angled side veins give it structure, and a short stem finishes the base. The lobes differ in size from one side to the other, which adds to that windswept feel.
The tilt makes it ideal for an all-over wrapping paper pattern. Stamp leaves at random angles across brown kraft paper for a fall gift, or line a few along a table runner made of butcher paper for a harvest dinner.
Let each section dry before you lean over it to stamp the next. Varying the angle of each print makes the pattern look naturally scattered.
