Classic blossoms and smiling cartoon flowers make an easy start for floral crafts. Stamp a Bold Cupped Bloom as the focal point of a card front, or repeat Five-Petal Blossom into a bouquet or border for shower invitations and journal pages. For looser, field-style stems, see Wildflowers & Meadow, or pick a rose from Valentine's Day.

Two Kinds of Garden Flower

This collection has two personalities. The classic blooms, Starburst Petal Flower, Ruffled Cup Flower, Flared Petal Flower and Notched Leaf Blossom, are drawn like real garden flowers and suit wedding showers, Mother's Day cards and recipe cards. The smiling flowers, Grinning Retro Flower, Beaming Sunburst Flower, Sparkle-Eyed Flower and Vintage Cartoon Flower, have faces and lean playful, ideal for kids' notes, teacher gifts and get-well cards.

Arranging a stamped bouquet

Stamp the largest bloom first, slightly off center. Add two more flowers at different heights, then fill the gaps with greenery from Leaves & Foliage. Stems drawn by hand in a fine pen tie everything into a single bunch.

Color tips

Pinks, corals and yellows read as spring; deep reds, plums and gold feel like late summer. On the smiling flowers, leave the faces white and color only the petals so the expressions stay clear. A single bloom in one bold color can carry a whole card.

Garden Flower Stamp Questions

Which garden flower stamps suit a Mother's Day card?

The classic blooms, such as Ruffled Cup Flower or Starburst Petal Flower, give a soft, traditional look. Stamp one bloom large on the front, or three in a loose cluster, and add a short handwritten message inside. Pink or coral ink with a touch of green on the leaves keeps it simple.

How do I keep the faces on the smiling flowers crisp?

Ink evenly by tapping the stamp on the pad several times instead of pressing it into the ink, which can clog fine lines around the eyes and mouth. Press straight down without rocking, lift cleanly, and let the image dry before coloring the petals around the face.

How do I make matching stationery with one flower?

Pick one design and one ink color, then use it in three places: centered on the card front, tucked in the corner of the writing paper, and once on the envelope flap. Keeping the same ink across every piece makes a set look planned, even when the layouts differ.
