Lady Liberty holds her torch high in her right hand, while her left arm cradles a tablet. Rays fan out from her crown, and her robe falls in long diagonal folds to a simple pedestal.
A gift from the people of France, the statue was dedicated in 1886 on what is now Liberty Island in New York Harbor.
Stamp her on Fourth of July cookout invitations and food labels, then color the robe in a soft blue-green once the ink dries. She also belongs in a New York City travel journal, and suits families, teachers and city lovers alike.
The torch and crown are fine details; ink lightly and lift straight up.
