Ordering an Embosser: FAQ
There are so many ways to use your custom embosser, from elegantly branding your small business with envelope seals to embossing an official document. If it's your first time ordering an embosser, you'll probably have a few questions regarding paperweight, orientation, and more, but the good news is it's not nearly as complex as it may initially seem. Chances are, if you have a question about your new embosser, other customers have had the same question before! Which is why we're compiling all of our most commonly-asked embosser questions to make ordering your embosser much easier.

What is the orientation of an embosser?

Simply put: the orientation of your embosser is just the direction you would it to imprint from. Most of our customers need bottom orientation to emboss from the bottom of a sheet of paper or on the flap of an envelope. But you can also choose top, left, or right orientation depending on what you will be using your embosser for. The orientation just lets us know how we should assemble your embosser to ensure it works properly for its intended purpose.

What paperweight can an embosser be used on?

Our standard embossers can emboss on up to 20-pound standard paper. Be sure to consider the type of paper you'll be using your embosser on when ordering because embossing on a heavier paperweight can ultimately damage your embosser.

How long is the reach of an embosser?

Our standard embosser can reach up to 1" onto a sheet of paper. We also have long-reach embossers available, so once again, give us a call or send us an email and we'll be happy to help you find what's right for you.

Can I order just an insert for my embosser?

No, the embosser and insert come together as a single unit.

What size and shape embossers can I order?

When it comes to the size and shape embossers we have available, you can choose from 1 and 5/8" and 2" round embossers, and a 1" x 2" square embosser. Simply choose what size and shape is best for you and what you'll be using your embosser for!

We hope you've found this helpful and we've answered a few of your embosser questions! If you find you still have questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email and we'll be happy to help.
